God has not forsaken thee,
Look to the vast blue sky!
Not down to the starving children,
Who look much like you and I.
God has not forsaken thee,
Oh behold the life we know,
Gaze past the bloody battlefield,
To the golden lit meadow.
God has not forsaken thee,
Glance quickly to the church,
If seeking out a Holy man,
continue on your search.
If God has not forsaken thee,
Then what God can he be?
God may not have forsaken you,
But he has surely forsaken me.
